Some people probably were, some people said he was total gash.

It's definitely true to say he's had very little impact when on the pitch so far. Maybe a couple of decent games, mostly quite anonymous.

If it's true, do we really want to spend that money on that player when there is apparently so little to go round? Don't we ever learn?

Only way this is even remotely sensible is if Lanzini is definitely going. Even then it's a stretch as he's hardly proven to be a solid player in this league so far.

Surface - I just liked the word. It was apposite. It sounds good, I wish I could call him it to his face and then strangle him for the good of mankind.

I acknowledge the context that you allude to, the wild eyed stare of a 19th century anarchist that Joseph Conrad or Dostoevsky might have described, but I'm happy to lift it out of that more familiar usage. Though G&S are undoubtedly capitalist dogs feeding on the proletariat in a quintessential Marxist sense.

Pretty sure Hugh was an ex Daily Sport journo.

His site is clearly a G&S spin / PR piece so wouldn’t be surprised if he’s on some kind of retainer where they give him £20k or whatever a year plus a few match tickets and get him to write a load of old bollocks each week.

His is probably the third main hammers site after this one and KUMB so his nonsense obviously gets out to the more impressionable and naive fans.

I posted on there a few times, mainly to counter the pro board drivel that dominates the place. A couple of weeks ago I found I couldn't log in. I'd never been abusive or fallen out with anyone in the slightest, I was just completely anti board.

The bloke is a ridiculous Board lickspittle. He'll hold up some mild anti board stuff as some kind of evidence of 'balance', but essentially the whole place is a pr exercise on behalf of G&S.

Did enjoy posting on there for a while. There are plenty of reasoned individuals who just wanted to discuss WHU.
Trouble is, recently, it's become much more of a means to promote only one view, that of someone who sympathises only with the board and thinks they are somewhat victimised.
I almost never post on there now because I do not agree at all and am fed up of being told my views are not welcome, by people who seem to think that it is wrong if someone says they are wrong.
It's supposed to be a forum. If everyone agreed, what the hell would we discuss?
At least on here when that happens, I can rely on being able to just say fuck off and get on with it.

What’s strangest about that site is the amount of suck ups in the comment section. Not to mention the Belorussian bloke the other day who wanted them to ban anyone who dared protest against them. Weird, creepy site.
